WhatsApp is the most famous messaging app in the world right now and it has more than 2 billion users worldwide. Whatsapp offers many features and encrypts the messages that is why it is the most useful app.
Here are some Whatsapp tips and tricks:
Set custom notification melodies for specific people.
Mostly, when you receive a message on Whatsapp, you will hear the system default notification ringtone. So instead of that, you can set custom notification tones for each contact. Here are the steps:
- Open the WhatsApp app and click on the contact you want a custom notification for.
- Now, click on the contact profile, and here you will see a ‘Custom Notifications’ option. Click on that.
- Enable the ‘Use custom notifications’ option by clicking the checkbox.
- Click on ‘Notification Ringtone’ and select the ringtone of your choice. You can also set the melody for the caller.
In this way, it will be easier for you to understand who is sending you a text message while you are not using the phone.
Pause Whatsapp status playback
Sometimes when you check Whatsapp status, due to the playback speed, you can’t read the whole status, so there are two methods to pause status playback. Here are some steps:
- Open Whatsapp app and go to status tab.
- Click on any state.
- When the status starts to play, click on the phone screen with three fingers at the same time.
- This will pause the status playback and you can easily read/view the status.
Save someone’s whatsapp status
Now you can save any WhatsApp status without the need of a third party application. Simply follow these steps:
- Open your phone’s file manager and go to the Android folder.
- Open the Media folder, then open the com.WhatsApp folder.
- In this folder, go to Media and open the Status folder.
Here, you will see all of today’s status. You can save images and videos elsewhere.
Note: Make sure you enable the “Show hidden files” option in the file manager settings. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the ‘Status’ folder.
Check who you shared the most files with
To check which contact you shared the most files (images/videos) with, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp and click on the three dots button at the top right of the screen.
- Click on Settings and go to Storage and data.
- Now click Manage Storage, you can see who you have shared most files with on WhatsApp.
