- Stepfather Leon Harris adopted her after marrying her mother in 1975, and the family settled in Litchfield, Connecticut
- Harris revealed his daughter cut ties with both of her biological parents and has made a life for herself fighting crime in the US
- ‘She is a formidable woman, good looking and tough-minded like her father, but that is about the only thing they have in common,’ he told DailyMail.com
